Nissan is just not stopping. After releasing the new Nissan Ariya, it has then blown covers of yet another much-awaited model which was part of the Nissan Next teaser. The Nissan Magnite is the brand’s newest vehicle and it was revealed in concept form. Its production form will be launched in India by August 2020 and shall compete with the likes of the Suzuki S-Presso for dominance in its segment.
The concept itself exhibits a rather bold design which is somewhat reminiscent of the new Nissan Kicks and Nissan Juke. Upfront, you’ll see a large hexagonal grille which is quite odd given that Nissan usually incorporates its V-Motion grille, but I guess not on this one. One quirky design cue is the LED DRLs on the headlights which somewhat extends like a strip to the foglight.

As for the side, you get a black roof which we assume is something that will be optional for top trims, and roof rails which are generic among most crossovers today. There’s also a harmonious combination of black plastic cladding and chrome accents which does complement the overall side profile of this crossover.

Going towards the rear, you’ll immediately notice its sleek taillights. Like the front, its rear bumper is also finished with black plastic cladding and pieces of satin silver finish.
There’s still no official words as to what engine this small wonder will get. Although some sources say that the Magnite might have two engine options, including a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque and a mightier 1.0-liter turbo-petrol capable of delivering 99 hp and 160 Nm of torque.
Again, the new Nissan Magnite is set to be launched in India some time in August this year. We’ll definitely get back to you for some updates.
