Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) issues a vehicle recall to continue its preventive service campaign to replace potentially defective Takata airbags in select vehicles.
Initially launched in 2015, the recall aims to address models that may have been affected by the faulty airbags. See if your Nissan vehicle is included in the list below.
- Grand Livina (2008-2014)
- Navara (2007-2014)
- Frontier (2003-2008)
- Teana (2006-2007)
- X-Trail (2003- 2012)
- Patrol Super Safari (2003- 2012)
To confirm if your vehicle is affected by the recall, simply visit the official website of NPI and select the “Owners” tab. Click on “Service Campaign” and then enter your car’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or chassis number.
In the event that your beloved Nissan car is included in the list, do call the brand’s 24/7 Nissan Customer Assistance Center (NCAC) hotline at (02) 403-65-93 or 0927-600-9557 (Globe). You may also drop by the nearest authorized Nissan Dealership and get the airbag replaced free of charge.
