Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) gladly shared their record sales for the month August 2018. With a total of 4,500 units sold, the Japanese carmaker managed to acquire the third spot in the automotive industry.
For this August, Nissan PH posted a 104% rise compared to the same period last year and even exceeded the 2,869 vehicles sold last July. This figure resulted to the brand’s highest monthly sales in the local vehicle market since 2000.
Keeping up the competitive war is the Nissan Navara, which gathered a whopping 38% of sales, making Navara the top-selling pickup truck for the month of August. Following the Navara’s track is the recently launched seven-seater Nissan Terra, which attained an impressive 21% monthly sales. These two essentially contributed to the company’s breakthrough.
Not only that, the Japanese brand also ranked second place in the J.D Power 2018 Customer Service Index, proving its reliable aftersales services. Further increasing the Nissan vehicles demand is the continuous expansion of Nissan’s footprint all throughout the country. In fact, it has recently opened two cool-looking dealerships in Taytay and CamSur, and now has more than 30 showrooms serving the Filipinos nationwide. Aside from that, the Japanese brand also plans to establish five more outlets before the year ends.
It’s good to know that the automotive industry is keeping its positive performance, despite the challenging situation in the country such as oil price hike and excise tax, among others.
“The strong sales performance is the result of a diligent focus on customer service and a strategic product portfolio that meets the requirements of the Filipinos. The positive reception of the new Nissan Terra is testament to this. We remain committed to exceeding expectations of our customers and the market.”
