Yoshinori Kanazawa

This coming April, Nissan Philippines is welcoming a new president. Yoshinori Kanazawa will take the helm starting April 1, 2026, reporting to the President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand from his base in Manila.

Kanazawa brings nearly 20 years of experience with Nissan, having held leadership roles in Japan, China, and other international markets. He is currently Managing Director of Nissan Importers Business Unit (NIBU), ASEAN, and Managing Director of Nissan Singapore International, based in Thailand. In these roles, he manages Nissan’s importer operations across Southeast Asia and works closely with regional partners to drive market growth.

Over the years, Kanazawa has built a strong track record in corporate planning, product strategy, and dealer network development. Prior to his current role, he held senior positions within Nissan China and its joint ventures, where he played an integral role in strategic planning and expanding the dealer network to strengthen market presence.

Kanazawa succeeds Masao Tsutsumi, who has been promoted to President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand, also based in Thailand. Tsutsumi took over from Toshihiro Fujiki, who now serves as Corporate Executive for Global Aftersales at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. During his tenure as President of Nissan Philippines, Tsutsumi led multiple initiatives that reinforced the company’s market presence, maintained brand momentum, and worked closely with dealer partners to improve the customer experience. Nissan Philippines expressed its gratitude to Tsutsumi for his leadership and contributions and wished him continued success in his new role.

Kanazawa’s official inauguration as President will take place after he completes the necessary qualifications under Philippine law and receives confirmation from the Nissan Philippines Board of Directors. According to Nissan, his appointment reflects Nissan’s ongoing focus on strengthening its operations in the Philippines and the wider ASEAN region, leveraging his extensive international experience to guide the company’s growth in a dynamic automotive market.
