Nissan unveils the all-new Kicks e-POWER at the 2026 BIMS

Nissan is revitalizing its efforts in the electrified crossover market here in Southeast Asia with the reveal of the all-new 2026 Nissan Kicks e-POWER. Making its official debut at the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, the next-generation Kicks features a radical redesign both inside and outside.

It may look similar to the Kicks sold in the North American market, but aside from the exterior, they’re two different cars entirely. Starting with the looks, the 2026 Kicks gets a new front fascia, featuring bumper-mounted headlights, sleek LED DRLs on top of said headlights, and a revamped version of the V-motion grille, which is now a bit more subtle but still provides a confident look. Along the sides, it rides on funky two-tone, geometric-style alloy wheels paired with black cladding for added presence, along with a sharp character line that runs from the hood and tapers off before the D-pillar.

At the rear, the shape of the hatch is similar to the previous generation, but it now adopts a cleaner, more streamlined design. LED taillights flank either side, while the “Kicks” name is prominently spelled out at the center. Down below, the bumper features black accents and is finished off with two reflector strips.

Inside, the refreshed Kicks receives a comprehensive overhaul. It now features a fully digital seven-inch gauge cluster, paired with a larger 12.3-inch infotainment display at the center, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The cabin feels more upscale thanks to a redesigned front and center console, updated door panels, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Comfort has also been improved, with Nissan’s Zero Gravity seats now finished in synthetic leather with an anti-heat coating. The driver benefits from a six-way power-adjustable seat, along with a camera-based Intelligent Rearview Mirror.

At the rear, passenger comfort has been enhanced with a slightly more reclined seatback angle, larger headrests, and a center armrest with dual cupholders, making the space more accommodating overall.

For the ASEAN market, the Kicks e-POWER retains its hybrid setup, a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that acts solely as a generator, charging a lithium-ion battery that powers the electric motor. Output remains at 134 hp and 280 Nm of torque.

The 2026 Kicks also comes equipped with numerous safety features and its ProPILOT suite of advanced driver aids. Features in this suite consist of, but are not limited to, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, a 360-degree camera, forward collision warning, rear automatic emergency braking, and high beam assist. 

We won’t have to wait long to see the new Nissan Kicks in the metal. Reports suggest the 2026 model could arrive in the Philippines within the next few months, set to replace the current-generation Kicks.
