Official: 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage, Mirage G4 debut in Thailand

Mitsubishi Thailand officially launches the 2020 Mirage and Attrage (the G4 locally). The vehicle now features a redesigned front end with sharper headlights and front fascia. Both variants of the subcompact now sport the Dynamic Shield that Mitsubishi vehicles are known for. Love it or hate it, but the proprietary design language is here to stay.

Exterior

The front of the subcompact sedan now features square grille lines that come with a three horizontal bar pattern. The new bumper now has a blacked-out center segment giving the illusion of the bigger grille. Topping off the new look is a pair of chrome accents that extends from the daytime running lights all the way to under the foglights.

The new headlamp layout also adds tot he new look. It gives the vehicle a wider and more aggressive front end. The new headlights now feature a multi-bulb LED combination lamps along with a Projector housing. The rear of the vehicle gets a wider look with a new square-like bumper and a pair of Lpsaped horizontal LED combination lamps. The shape of the trunk and the hatch remain the same. Both vehicles can now be had with a new color option dubbed White Diamond. The Mirage gets a new Sand yellow color option as well. Another addition to both vehicles is a new set of 15-inch alloy wheels. The Mirage G4 variant gets a two-tone diamond-cut design, while the Mirage gets an elegant silver finish instead.

Interior

The Mirage’s and Mirage G4’s cabins are still familiar as it has the same design cues as the outgoing model. The new vehicles now have a newly designed front armrest. Other hand-touch areas are now finished in what Mitsubishi calls “Soft-feel cloth.”

Higher variants of the vehicle are treated to a newly designed seat patter breaking away from the plain fabric that the outgoing model had. For the Mirage G4, it comes with a sportier-looking fabric/synthetic leather combination. For the Mirage, it comes with the mono-tone synthetic leather design. This is accentuated with piping and stitching on the seats to add a bit more elegance to the interior. For infotainment, both vehicles get a Smartphone Display Audio. This new system comes with a 7-inch display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Powertrain

Powering the facelifted Mirage is the same 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that produces 78 hp and 100 Nm of torque. The existing CVT and 5-speed manual transmission options are also carried over from the outgoing model.

There is no news yet when the new Mirage and its G4 sedan counterpart will make into the local market. We will update you once Mitsubishi Philippines gives an official announcement regarding the local launch and pricing.
