Chinese brand OMODA made a pretty loud statement at the Chery International Business Summit held last April 26. During its "From Million To Annual Million" launch event, the brand announced a partnership with VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) EMEA and Game Changers EMEA, two of the most recognized competitive gaming circuits in the world. The rollout also coincided with the OMODA 4 Roll-off Ceremony, tying the car directly to the collaboration.
Why esports? OMODA’s logic isn't that hard to follow. Competitive gaming has grown into one of the biggest cultural forces among younger audiences, especially Gen Z. Leagues like VCT EMEA and Game Changers EMEA pull in hundreds of thousands of viewers regularly, and VALORANT itself has built a strong reputation globally for its competitive integrity and sharp visual style. For a brand trying to speak directly to that demographic, it makes sense to show up where they already are. OMODA isn't framing this as a simple sponsorship deal, though. The brand is positioning it as a lifestyle play, one that puts automotive culture, technology, and gaming in the same lane.
The OMODA 4 is the centerpiece of the whole thing. Its CYBER MECHA design language pulls from the same futuristic, geometry-heavy visual DNA that tends to resonate with gaming culture, think sharp lines, Cyber Lightning headlights, and a cockpit that supports wireless gamepad connectivity paired with a large HD screen and surround sound. The interior is being marketed as a "Cyber Carry mobile cockpit," essentially a gaming-friendly space on wheels.
Performance-wise, the OMODA 4 ULTRA steps things up with a sport exhaust system and launch control, giving it a more driver-focused personality that aligns with the competitive angle the brand is pushing. No specific numbers for this crossover just yet, but we’ll be on the lookout for when they’re revealed.
Game Changers EMEA's inclusion also signals that OMODA is paying attention to diversity and inclusivity within the esports scene, values that VCT has been actively building around for years.
