Italian carmaker Ferrari has released the photos of the fierce-looking open-top version of the LaFerrari, the most powerful model in their stable.
Built as a limited edition model, this car is aimed at enthusiasts who love the thrill of driving a topless high-performance machine. However, Ferrari has not yet revealed the car’s official name and the number of units it will produce. They did state that all these will be announced at this year’s Paris International Motor Show in October.
The carmaker will offer this topless LaFerrari with either a removable carbon fiber hard top or a removable soft top version.
Located behind the cockpit is still the same hybrid system that’s found on the LaFerrari coupe. This power plant consists of a 800hp 6.2L V12 gasoline engine and a 163 hp 120 Kw electric motor. Generating a combined output of 963 hp. That said, Ferrari claims that its 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time would likely be around less than 3 seconds, and would reach a maximum speed of over 350 Km/h.
Finally, engineers have tweaked the open-top LaFerrari’s chassis and aerodynamics. This is to achieve the same driving stability and handling of the coupe version.
But here’s the catch; Ferrari stated that all of the car’s available example units have already been sold during its special preview, thus sealing its order book.
