Spotting a supercar on our roads is a pretty rare occurrence, especially if you don't know where to look. But this coming February 7 to 8, 2015, just about anyone will be able to view the beautiful machines from Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, and Bentley under one roof.
The so-called “The World of Super Cars” is organized by PGA Cars, Inc. who happens to be the importer and distributor those 4 prestigious brands that all fall under the VW Group. And when it opens this weekend at the SMX Convention Center, Manila, it will be the first ever supercar motor show in the Philippines.
Audi will bring with them a premium collection of German technology, which is comprised of the A8 W12, S8, and of course, the R8. The smaller A1 Sportback compact and award-winning World Car of the Year, the A3 sedan will likewise make an appearance, as well as the A7 Sportback and RS6.
As for Porsche, their line-up will include the Boxter GTS, Cayman GTS, and 911s in the form of the Targa, GT3, Cabriolet, Turbo, and Turbo S. They'll even bring the Panamera, Cayenne, and the new Macan for viewing, despite the fact that these models are not considered supercars, let alone sports cars.
Those who fancy historic models should enjoy the 930 Turbo, 993 Carrera Cabriolet, 993 Turbo, and 912. But the holy grail of the bunch is the ultra-rare Carrera GT, of which only 2 or 3 are known to have landed in the Philippines.
Lamborghini, on the other hand, will proudly showcase a fleet of raging bulls from Sant'Agata. Here, you'll see the Aventador LP700-4, the newly launched Huracan LP610-4, and the model they've replaced, the Gallardo and Murcielago.
At Bentley's corner will sit the new Bentley Flying Spur and Continental GT V8.
“PGA Cars is opening its doors for the public to experience the World of Super Cars where we will feature our various brands. Children and the children-at-heart can expect to see a nostalgic assembly of their favorite super cars—from the Hollywood icons, the newest cars, as well as the classics,” said PGA Cars Director Robert Coyiuto III.
As from these supercars, PGA Cars will also offer original parts, accessories and lifestyle collections at the show. Shop from the Audi Lifestyle Collection, Porsche Driver's Selection, Lamborghini ArtiMarca, and the Bentley Lifestyle Collection.
Getting into The World of Supercars, however, isn't free. Tickets are P150 for adults and free for senior citizens and children aged 12 years and below. And no, they're not really in it for the money, because all the proceeds will be donated to charity for children.
The show is open on February 7 (Saturday) from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM and February 8 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
