Hyundai Motor Philippines Inc. (HMPH) has joined forces with Viu, a streaming provider, along with ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment, to collaborate on the Philippine version of the romantic-comedy series, "What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim". At an official press conference held at the Quantum Skyview of Gateway 2 Mall in Cubao on March 9, the brand's role as the official mobility partner was confirmed.
The series in question first originally broadcasted in 2018, featured Park Seo-joon as Vice Chairman Lee Young-joon and Park Min-young as Secretary Kim Mi-so. In the upcoming adaptation, esteemed Filipino actors Paulo Avelino and Kim Chiu will step into these iconic roles. Joining them is a blend of seasoned and emerging talents including Jake Cuenca, Janice De Belen, Romnick Sarmenta, Angeline Quinto, and Pepe Herrera.
Moving to more important matters, Hyundai’s lineup of cars. The cars that will be featured in the rom-com include the recently unveiled All-New Santa Fe, as well as other SUVs like the Palisade, Tucson, and Creta. Additionally, the MPV range, consisting of the Custin, Staria, and Stargazer, will be highlighted. Electric vehicles are also making an appearance with the IONIQ 5 and IONIQ 6. Lastly, to the delight of owners of Hyundai’s previous models, cars like the Accent, Reina, and Starex will also have their own time in the limelight.

For HMPH, this adaptation stands as a part of its efforts to commemorate the 75th Friendship Anniversary between the Philippines and Korea. The brand will roll out a series of themed events from March to June, showcasing the shared lifestyle interests and cultural connections that have bolstered the relationship between the two nations.
