The Philippines has landed among the top three export markets for the Ranger Raptor, sitting right alongside Australia and South Africa. It's a strong indicator that demand for the performance pickup isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Since the Raptor first hit the scene in 2018, cumulative production has climbed past 215,000 units. Anyone who followed the launch remembers why it made headlines in the first place: a midsize pickup catching full air over a rough off-road course and sticking the landing like it was nothing. 

Fast forward eight years, and the Ranger Raptor isn't just some niche off-roader anymore. It's become the yardstick other performance pickups get measured against, built on a mix of motorsport know-how, modern tech, and serious engineering muscle.

Ford's Australian team handles the design and development work, but the truck's actual production happens in Thailand. The first Ranger Raptor rolled off the line at Ford Thailand Manufacturing in Rayong province back on June 25, 2018. That plant quickly turned into the model's beating heart.

Success overseas opened new doors. In 2023, Ford brought Raptor production stateside, adding a line at its Michigan Assembly Plant to serve North American buyers. Even so, the Rayong facility hasn't lost its crown. It remains the primary export hub, sending Ranger Raptors to 106 countries around the globe.

None of this was really part of the original plan. Ford initially treated the Raptor as a specialty, low-volume build, something for a small pool of hardcore enthusiasts. That plan didn't survive contact with the market. Once word got out about what the truck could actually do off-road, demand took off well beyond what anyone at Ford expected.

Locally, the lineup is topped by the Raptor 3.0-liter V6, a version built specifically by Ford Performance to chew through rough terrain without breaking a sweat. Under the hood sits a twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 pushing out 391 hp and 583 Nm of torque, paired with a performance-tuned 10-speed automatic. There's also an anti-lag system tied to Baja mode, though that one's strictly for off-road use. Suspension duties go to Ford Performance-developed FOX 2.5-inch Live Valve internal bypass shocks, giving it the ability to conquer any trail without breaking a sweat.
