The Godzilla is officially here as Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) launched the 2017 GT-R during the 6th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).
Nissan says the new GT-R is integrated with the most significant design changes since it was introduced in 2007. Up front, it is fitted with a larger ‘V-motion” grille that’s said to deliver better engine cooling. The GT-R’s fascia also has a lip spoiler, a restyled bumper, and a new hood which allows the vehicle to improve its aerodynamics.
The GT-R’s rear comes with the signature ‘four-ring taillights’ as well as titanium mufflers which gives the vehicle an overall sporty appeal. Moreover, the vehicle’s quarter panel has been redesigned to yield better aerodynamics. Lastly, it is finished off with a set of 20-inch machine-finished forged aluminum wheels.
Inside, the GT-R has a two-tone interior layout along with a horizontal dashboard layout. The center console, steering wheel, and door trim are wrapped in leather. It also has an 8-inch touchscreen featuring large icons on the display screen.
Under the hood, the 2017 GT-R is powered by a 3.8L bi-turbo V6 engine that delivers 570 hp and 637 Nm of torque. It is then mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission.
In case you’re wondering, the GT-R is priced at P7,350,000 and it will be exclusively available at the Nissan High Performance Center in Quezon Avenue. Color options are the following: Katsura Orange, Vibrant Red, Pearl Black, Ultimate Silver, Gun Metallic, Pearl White, and Pearl Blue.
