MG RX9 PIMS 2026

MG Philippines expands its electrified vehicle lineup with the launch of the all-new MG RX9 PHEV, a three-row plug-in hybrid crossover, the HS PHEV, a plug-in-hybrid version of the HS compact crossover, and the MG4 Urban.

Positioned as the brand's flagship crossover offering, the RX9 PHEV arrives with seating for up to seven occupants, a generous cabin, and a plug-in hybrid powertrain capable of delivering up to 100 kilometers of all-electric driving range. 

Powering the MG RX9 PHEV is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder dedicated hybrid engine paired with an electric motor. Together, the system produces a combined output of 323 hp and delivers power through a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission driving the front wheels. Energy is stored in a 24.7-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which also supports vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality for powering external devices.

The RX9 PHEV rides on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link independent rear suspension setup. It comes equipped with 20-inch two-tone alloy wheels wrapped in 255/45R20 series tires, while exterior highlights include LED lighting all around, flush door handles, roof rails, power-folding side mirrors with memory function, and a panoramic power sunroof.

Inside, the crossover features a premium cabin headlined by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a matching 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Occupants also get a Bose 12-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone charging, tri-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and multiple USB charging ports spread across all three rows.

Comfort is further enhanced with leather upholstery and power-adjustable front seats. The second row is fitted with captain's chairs, while the third-row seats can recline and fold in a 50:50 configuration. Cargo capacity ranges from 332 liters with all seats in place to as much as 2,093 liters with the rear seats folded down.

MG’s three-row crossover comes equipped with five airbags, a 360-degree camera system with chassis view, tire pressure monitoring, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and hill descent control. It also receives MG Pilot, the brand's suite of advanced driver assistance systems, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Cross Traffic Alert, Door Opening Warning, Driver Monitoring System, and Traffic Jam Assist, among others.

MG4 Urban

Moving on towards the next car in MG’s presentation, we have the MG4 Urban. This compact car is powered by an 110 kW electric motor producing 147 hp paired with a 43.2-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery delivering up to 403 km of driving range on the NEDC cycle. In addition, the MG4 Urban supports DC charging allowing it to charge from 20 percent to 80 percent in just 35 minutes. 

As for dimensions, the MG4 Urban measures 4,395 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width, and 1,549 mm in height with a 2,750 mm wheelbase. As for features, it comes with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) capability, a 12.8-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The MG4 Urban is also a versatile hauler with 480-liters of cargo space plus a 98-liter underfloor storage compartment. The cargo space can be expanded up to 1,364 liters with the rear seats folded.

MG HS PHEV

Completing the trio is the MG HS PHEV. This version of the HS crossover is powered by MG’s PHEV powertrain. It features a 1.5-liter turbocharged hybrid engine that’s complemented by an electric motor and a 24.7-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery pack. The HS PHEV puts out 294 hp with a pure electric driving range pegged at 115 km. Combined with a full tank, the HS can reach a total driving range of over 1,100km.

Features inside the HS include a dual 12.3-inch infotainment display, MG Pilot’s full suite of ADAS tech, a 12-speaker Bose speaker system, ventilated front seats with massage function, 12-way power adjustable seats, and tri-zone climate control. 

The asking price for MG’s trio of cars? MG Philippines puts the RX9’s SRP AT P1,998,888, the HS PHEV is priced at P,1,548,888, while the MG4 Urban is priced at P,1,198,888.
