PIMS 2026: The Nissan X-Trail finally returns to the Philippines

The wait has been a long one. The Nissan X-Trail has been absent from Philippine showrooms for years, and fans of the nameplate have had to watch it grow into an electrified, tech-forward machine from the sidelines. That changed today at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show, where Nissan Philippines finally brought the all-new X-Trail e-POWER home.

This isn't the old X-Trail you remember. What's arriving is a thoroughly modern family crossover built around Nissan's e-POWER hybrid technology. No plugging in required. Just the quiet, responsive surge of electric drive without the range anxiety.

The X-Trail e-POWER here in the Philippines is powered by Nissan’s series-hybrid powertrain. It consists of a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine that feeds a 1.85 kWh battery sending power to the electric motor. The electric motor puts out 204 hp and 330 Nm of torque. With a 55-liter tank, the Nissan X-Trail e-POWER can go up to 1,039 km on a single tank before needing to refuel.

Inside, the all-new X-Trail is brimming with tech. The sole variant comes with plush leather seats, a 7-speaker audio system, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, tri-zone climate control, and a panoramic power sunroof round out a cabin that looks and feels premium.

Practicality hasn't been sacrificed either. Cargo capacity reaches 575 liters on the five-seat e-POWER variant, and Nissan's Divide-N-Hide configurable cargo system gives you flexibility for bags, gear, and everything in between.

The X-Trail's also come with Nissan Intelligent Mobility. Features start with Intelligent Emergency Braking which detects vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. There's also lane-departure warning, Intelligent Emergency Braking, a blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, and a 3D Around View Monitor with moving object detection.

The price for all this? The Nissan X-Trail is priced at P2,290,000. Nissan isn’t just stopping with the X-Trail e-POWER. Their push to provide more electrified vehicles will include the Primera EV sedan, the all-new Kicks e-POWER, and the Navara Pro PHEV.
