2026 RAM TRX

In June 2025, RAM announced that it is reviving the HEMI V8 for the RAM 1500 pickup truck. Of course, with the return of the V8 in the RAM 1500, the TRX's return isn’t far behind. Just like clockwork, in line with the revival of the SRT performance division, Stellantis unveiled the all-new TRX on the first day of 2026.

So what’s new with the TRX? Enthusiasts will be happy to know that it isn’t just a rehash of the old one with a bit more decor; the engine has been uprated, the suspension has been beefed up, and yes, it comes with an exclusive new look.

RAM TRX Engine

Starting with the mechanical bits, the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 now delivers 777 hp and 921 Nm of torque, which, according to RAM, makes it “the most powerful production street-legal gas half-ton pickup ever.” As a result of the added muscle, RAM claims the TRX can go from a dead stop to 100 in just 3.5 seconds. Power is delivered from the engine to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission that sends it to all four wheels via a full-time active four-wheel-drive system. In addition, a two-speed transfer case is on hand to control the enormous amounts of torque when the going gets slippery.

Underneath, the new TRX sticks with a familiar formula, building on the RHO, which itself evolved from the original TRX. The biggest focus is still the Bilstein BlackHawk e2 RAM Active Terrain Dynamics shocks.  Beyond that, it’s the hardcore TRX setup you’d expect. It still rides on 35-inch tires wrapped around available beadlock-capable wheels, with 13 inches of front travel and 14 inches at the rear, giving it 11.8 inches of ground clearance. There’s also an upgraded urethane jounce bumper paired with three-stage progressive hydraulic jounce cut-off internals to soften big hits. The electronically locking differential and hydraulic axle-hop damper make their return as well, keeping everything planted when things get rough.

RAM Grille

On the outside, the new TRX gets some fresh attitude. There’s an updated TRX logo featuring a T-Rex head, a high-flow R-A-M grille badge, and front and rear tow hooks finished in Flame Red. If you want something even louder, there’s the optional Bloodshot Night Edition package, which brings the first-ever two-tone paint job on a TRX. That means a Blacktop upper and lower body paired with Flame Red sides, a matching hood stripe, and splash-style body graphics. Inside, the special edition adds a glass-encased TRX badge on the console and carbon fiber trim with red anodized threads woven in. Buyers can also choose between a full-length rock rail or powder-coated running boards.

RAM TRX Interior

The cabin continues to mix luxury with muscle. The seats are wrapped in Natura Plus leather with perforated suede inserts, finished with red bolsters, red stitching, and TRX embroidery on the headrests. Ruby Red seatbelts add a nice pop of color, while upscale touches like the leather-wrapped, red-stitched airbag cover and full suede headliner and visors are borrowed straight from the Tungsten model. The familiar cast metal and semi-perforated leather console shifter is still here, along with the aluminum shift paddles, keeping the TRX’s performance vibe intact.

The 2026 RAM TRX is expected to make its debut in late 2026. What isn’t clear is if RAM will bring the revived TRX outside the U.S. If they do, we hope the Philippines will be one of the markets that get them.
