LRPhils. Motors Inc., the exclusive distributor of Land Rover vehicles in the country, has just announced the availability of the latest version of their luxury compact SUV, the Range Rover Evoque.
For its latest iteration, the Evoque now comes refreshed with an array of new and updated technologies that lower fuel consumption and CO2 emission by up to 11.4 percent and 9.5 percent, respectively. These include a new Euro-6 4-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine, an updated Si4 petrol engine, the newly-available ZF-9HP 9-speed automatic transmission, an Active Driveline 4WD system, and seven new driver assistance features.
The ZF-9HP 9-speed automatic’s got ultra-fast response time, and can also adapt on-the-fly to a driving style for any driving condition. Meanwhile, its Active Driveline 4WD system allows it to be more fuel efficient by running with front-wheel-drive only at steady driving speeds above 22 km/h. This 4WD system also has Active Torque Biasing with electronic-Diff (e-Diff), which allocates torque between the rear wheels for optimized traction and stability.
Complementing the new Evoque’s Active Driveline 4WD is its Torque Vectoring by Braking (TVB) feature. This works by distributing torque to all 4 wheels upon braking to counteract understeer and enhance agility.
Its styling details have also been updated. It now comes with new interior color options, four new alloy wheel styles, and new Land Rover badging on the grille, wheel centres, and tailgate. This latest Evoque also gets a set of full-LED headlight and fog lights.
