The Maxus T60 is the brand’s entry into the pickup truck segment in the Philippines. While the model is still fairly fresh in the local market, in other countries the vehicle has already gotten refreshed and this is what it looks like now.
The Maxus T60 Max now comes with a much larger octagonal grille that matches the rest of the models that the automaker offers in its vehicle lineup. Besides that, it comes with larger and more emphasized wheel arches along with a new tailgate that spells out the words “T60 MAX” in bold lettering. It also gets a new set of taillights that help give it a much braver look.
On the inside, the T60 Max has also received a new interior look as it now boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other features for the vehicle include leather seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and automatic climate control.
Under the hood, the refreshed pickup truck comes with a new 2.0-liter bi-turbo engine. It pushes out 217 hp and 500 Nm of torque and ranks as one of the most powerful pickup truck engines available on the market today. If these power figures look familiar, this is because it is the same one found in its SUV brother the Maxus D90. The T60 Max sends power to the ground via an 8-speed automatic transmission. It also comes with a payload capacity rated at 936 kg and can tow up to three tons.
In terms of safety, the Maxus T60 Max comes well equipped as it has 6-airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control, lane departure warning, and a 360-degree camera to top it off. While Maxus Philippines hasn’t officially released a statement on the refreshed vehicle, we expect that it should make its way into the local automotive market soon.
