Recently, at the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) convention in New Orleans, Stellantis confirmed that the new Dodge Charger Sixpack is set to arrive at U.S. dealers this summer, according to a report by the automotive news outlet Carscoops.
The Sixpack, referring to its V6 engine, is a gas-powered version of the Charger Daytona EV. The Sixpack’s engine is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six, offered in two performance variants. The standard version delivers 420 hp, while the high-output variant boosts that figure to 550 hp. Both engines outperform the previous 5.7-liter and 6.4-liter Hemi V8s found in the Challenger, which produced 375 hp and 485 hp, respectively. In addition, Dodge has said that like the Daytona EV, the Sixpack will also come with two-door and four-door versions as well as an all-wheel drive variant.
While the Sixpack debuted alongside the Charger Daytona, management troubles at Dodge have delayed its arrival at U.S. dealers. The announcement, made at the NADA convention, also aims to assure dealers that 2025 will be a better year for the Dodge brand.
“As we look at the year ahead, we recognize that consistency is what our dealers are seeking from us.“Following a challenging 2024, we told dealers—directly—that we will be consistent and focus on gaining their trust, especially when it comes to our products, our pricing, and our incentives."
Speaking of things changing for the better, Jeep is also looking forward to turning their luck around this year. Included in the announcement of the Sixpack, Stellantis mentioned that three new Jeep nameplates are incoming as well as three new powertrains. One of these nameplates is already known as the Recon, the other is likely a Cherokee successor while the third one is still under wraps.
As 2025 has only just begun, this revived vigor from Stellantis will be felt in the coming months.
