BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has announced that reservations are now open for the new BYD Tang DM-i, the brand’s latest flagship mid-size crossover SUV, beginning on September 1.
The Tang DM-i is the newest addition to BYD’s expanding Super DM-i lineup, following the launch of the Sealion 5 DM-i earlier this year. Positioned as BYD’s biggest crossover SUV in its lineup, this latest product is set to target larger families.
Equipped with the brand’s trademark Blade Battery and advanced Super DM-i technology, the Tang DM-i delivers a combined driving range of up to 1,160 kilometers and can run up to 110 kilometers on pure electric power per full charge. This dual capability is intended to balance efficiency for daily driving with the convenience and confidence needed for long-distance travel, capabilities that were previously unavailable with the pure EV Tang. Power specs aren’t here just yet, and that’s because BYD is waiting to reveal them until its official launch on September 17, 2025.
Inside, the Tang DM-i offers a spacious seven-seater layout complemented by comfort features and advanced driver-assistance systems. The crossover SUV also incorporates a suite of safety technologies, an attribute that’s common in the BYD lineup here and abroad.
“As the largest model in the range, the Tang DM-i delivers the space, versatility, and advanced technology that many customers look for in an SUV, while reinforcing our commitment to make electric mobility more accessible.”
The full specifications and pricing of the BYD Tang DM-i will be announced at its official launch on September 17. In the meantime, customers may secure reservations through authorized BYD dealerships or via the official BYD Philippines website. Stay tuned on AutoDeal.com.ph for updates once the BYD Tang DM-i has been launched for the Philippine market.
