Nissan Kicks e-POWER 2026

Nissan Philippines’ lineup is about to get another jolt of electrification following the X-Trail e-POWER, and this time it's the Kicks e-POWER that's stepping into the spotlight.

Nissan Philippines Inc. already gave buyers a taste of what's coming when it previewed it along with the X-Trail e-POWER at this year’s Philippine International Motor Show; now, the Japanese automaker looks ready to launch its hybrid subcompact crossover. Reservations have already opened, and the brand has started dropping details on what customers can expect once units start hitting showrooms.

Under the hood, we can expect Nissan to carry over the familiar 1.2-liter three-cylinder mill. If you’re already familiar with Nissan’s e-POWER system, it operates much like before, with the engine feeding a lithium-ion battery that in turn powers an electric motor driving the front axle.

Inside, Nissan gave the cabin a full makeover, swapping in a new digital gauge cluster alongside a larger touchscreen for infotainment duties. The center console has been reworked too, and automatic climate control now comes standard. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also expected to make the cut, which should keep tech-savvy buyers happy.

Speaking of connectivity, Nissan Connect will now be included in the Kicks’ feature set. This connected-car system lets owners tap into their vehicle straight from a smartphone app, checking on its status or triggering functions remotely.

Safety tech is getting a boost as well. Nissan hasn't confirmed the full list just yet, but speculation points to forward collision warning paired with autonomous emergency braking, a 360-degree camera setup with blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control that can handle traffic jam situations.

With the reservation books now officially open for buyers, it looks like we won’t have to wait long to see the new Nissan Kicks e-POWER hit the showrooms.
