In attendance at the signing of the agreement were Ramon S. Ang, the President & CEO of SMC, Cezar P. Consing, the President of Ayala Corp, and Anna Ma. Margarita B. Dy, the President & CEO of ALI. The integration of the Arca South on and off ramps into Skyway Stage 4 is scheduled to commence in 2024, facilitating smooth access between Skyway and Arca South in both directions.
SMC Infrastructure holds the concession for the 32.66-kilometer Skyway Stage 4, linking the Skyway system from Arca South to Batasan Complex in Quezon City. This expressway offers an alternative route from the South to the Eastern areas of Metro Manila, extending to Rizal province.
Featuring interchanges at Ortigas Avenue Extension, Marcos Highway, and Tumana Bridge leading to the Batasan Complex, the project is expected to alleviate traffic congestion on key routes like EDSA and C5 while improving overall connectivity in Metro Manila's Eastern corridor.
“We are grateful for this opportunity to work with Ayala Land. This also supports the vision for Arca South to create more jobs, new business opportunities, and deliver more residential and lifestyle options for Filipinos--while dispersing economic growth and easing traffic congestion.”
Ayala Land has a mission to enhance accessibility, especially for its Central Business Districts like Makati, BGC, and Arca South. This commitment is highlighted by the strategic integration of Arca South into the Skyway Stage 4 Project.
Arca South is a 74-hectare area that functions as a central business district and incorporates six residential projects, commercial lots, and key components such as Ayala Malls Arca South, Landers, a football field, and an events area. This planned unit development was launched by ALI back in 2014 and has grown into a bustling area in Taguig since then.
