With only days until the official reveal of its 2018 contender, Formula 1 (F1) team Scuderia-Ferrari teased its fans by firing up its new engine for the first time.
In a short video clip, you can hear the mechanics cranking the engine to life. It takes them almost 21 seconds to start Ferrari’s new 669 mill and let us hear it idle. Sadly, you won’t hear it rev up like McLaren’s #BeBrave teaser video for its new car (if that would be the actual sound).
Last season, the Italy-based team finished second in both driver’s and constructor’s championship, just a few points behind their rivals Mercedes-AMG. Will Scuderia-Ferrari’s new 669 engine be enough to take them back to the glory days? We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
Watch the engine come to life in the video below.
