The curtains are slowly lifting on the new MG ZS with its self-charging hybrid powertrain, sporting a new look and polished hybrid technology. Scheduled for a global debut on August 28, this model is catching attention with its new design and impressive features. The soon-to-arrive MG ZS Hybrid+ is anticipated to make the driving experience a lot better with its self-charging hybrid system, similar to the one in the MG3 supermini. It’s expected to come with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, producing a total of 192 hp.
MG has given a sneak peek showing a fiery, almost looking like the angry version of the MG ZS, redesign that keeps up with their latest styling trend. The front end features a large grille and bold LED headlights, while the side keeps MG’s standard sculpted appearance. The back end takes its appearance from the MG3 supermini but adds new taillights and a more detailed tailgate. Even though it's a hybrid, the SUV might also sport dual exhaust pipes, adding to its modern look.
Inside, while the previews don’t give away much, the inside of the car is likely to have higher quality materials and the latest tech. The new engine structure is developed to be more fuel-efficient than the older models, which will most likely make the MG ZS compete against other hybrids like the Toyota Yaris Cross. The revamped MG ZS will also come in other versions, including turbocharged gasoline and fully electric models.
Since its 2017 launch in China and a makeover in 2019, the MG ZS has quite a history and has become one of MG's more popular models. As it plans to expand to Europe, the UK, and Australia, many are wondering if the Philippines will see this self-charging, eco-friendly model. Orders are likely to begin soon, with deliveries targeted for October 2024. As we all wait for more info, you can view MG's current range on AutoDeal and easily request a quote with a simple click.
