Seres has officially launched the Landian E5 Plus, its updated mid-size hybrid SUV now in its third generation. Two variants are available, both priced at 119,800 yuan, or around P960,000. The new model brings an updated design, more comfort features, and a longer pure electric driving range of up to 230 km.
From the outside, the E5 Plus gets a new “star-ring” light strip across the front with a closed grille and through-type taillights at the rear. It also comes with chrome window trims, dense-spoke wheels, and regular door handles for a cleaner look. Seres also introduced a new “Jinghai Sand” paint color and “Moon Rhythm” wheel design to go with this model. An optional camping kit is also available for those who enjoy outdoor trips.
Inside, the E5 Plus features a flat dashboard with chrome accents and a 15.6-inch touchscreen placed at the center. It also includes a digital instrument cluster, three-spoke steering wheel, electronic gear selector, and electric sunroof. Other features include automatic LED headlights, a rear entertainment screen, and a Dolby sound system for a better in-car experience.
The SUV also introduces the new Doubao smart cockpit, powered by an upgraded AI chip that makes voice commands faster and smoother. New driver assistance features include automatic parking and lane change assist, which help make daily driving easier.
The E5 Plus measures 4,760 mm long, 1,865 mm wide, and 1,710 mm high, with a 2,785 mm wheelbase. It runs on the Seres Super Electric Hybrid System, which pairs a 1.5-liter engine (70 kW) with a 215 hp electric motor. A new intelligent hybrid all-wheel drive system and adaptive suspension automatically adjust to road conditions for a smoother and more stable ride.
The Landian E5 Plus shares its platform with the Aito M7 but skips Huawei’s advanced tech to keep the price lower. Despite that, it offers a similar hybrid setup and features at almost half the cost.
