Wanna own a brand new car but don’t have the cash? Subaru Philippines is giving you the chance to make that a reality with this year’s edition of their endurance contest called the Palm Challenge: Philippines Face Off.
In this event, participants will place their palm on a specific area of a Subaru vehicle with a palm-shaped sticker. If the participant removes even a finger off the sticker, he or she will be eliminated. The last person standing while still holding onto the sticker wins.
The Subaru Palm Challenge: Philippines Face Off will be run from August to September and will be held in 3 separate legs. The Metro Manila leg will be on August 14 at the Bonifacio High Street, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. This will be followed by the Cebu leg on September 3 at the Ayala Center in Cebu City. Finally, the Davao leg will be on September 24 at the SM Lanang Premier in Davao City.
The top 8 Metro Manila leg winners and the 1st place winners from the Cebu and Davao legs will then be sent to Singapore as a team to participate in the finals. They’ll compete with other Asian countries such as Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore itself.
There are lots of prizes to be won. These include cash prizes for the last person standing from each country and the last person standing from all regional countries (except Singapore). The country that will survive the longest (calculated by adding all team members’ times) will likewise be handed with a cash prize. As for the last person who’ll endure the challenge, a brand new Subaru XV 2.0i worth P1,298,000 will be up for grabs.
To qualify for the 2016 Subaru Palm Challenge: Philippine Face-Off, participants must be in good health condition and must be 18 years old as of January 2016. They should also be holding a valid and updated Philippine passport.
Registration is now on-going for those interested to join. To register, simply log on to the 2016 Subaru Palm Challenge: Philippine Face-Off official registration page or visit Subaru Philippines’ showrooms in Greenhills, BGC, Manila Bay, Alabang, Batangas, Cebu, and Davao.
