The 2015 Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Face-Off provincial legs finally went underway last August 8 and August 15 in Cebu and Davao, respectively. Out of over 300 participants who signed up for each leg, only 120 challengers per leg qualified to battle it out for the win.
The Cebu leg took place at the heart of the Ayala Center in Cebu City. It lasted for 12 hours, 55 minutes, and 45 seconds, all because Mr. Donn Michael Yap, a 25-year old Virtual Assistant for Financial Advisers managed to keep his cool and be the last man standing. His winning moment brought back a string of memories from last year’s Cebu leg as he also won that with a time of 12 hours, 51 minutes, and 10 seconds.
In the Davao leg held at the SM Lanang Premier in Davao City, a new Palm Challenge record for Davaoenos was made as 43-year old Furniture Carpenter Mr. Gilbert Hamo-ay held on for 13 hours, 7 minutes, and 3 seconds.
The Manila leg of the 2015 Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Face-Off will happen this September 5 at the Big Bear Oval in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City. The final 8 winners of this final leg will then join the Cebu and Davao winners for an all-expense paid trip to Singapore.
There, a 10-man team will represent the Philippines to compete in this year’s Subaru Challenge Regional Finals against 10 other Asian countries for a chance to take home a brand new Subaru Forester 2.0i-L worth P1,398,000.
Registration for the Manila leg of the 2015 Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Face-Off is still on-going at Motor Image Pilipinas’ showrooms in Greenhills, BGC, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Batangas. You may also download and fill up a copy of their registration form at www.motorimage.net/PH.
