Are you 18 years old or above, a Filipino citizen, in good health condition, and really hungry for a challenge? If you answered ‘yes’ to all these, then brace yourself as Motor Image Pilipinas Inc. (MIPI) invites you to the 2015 Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Face-Off.
What is the Subaru Palm Challenge? It’s all about placing your palm on a Subaru vehicle for as long as you can within a set time limit. Of course, that’s in its simplest explanation.
The challenge is to be the last person standing and holding on to the car, resisting the urge to let go while battling physical and mental distractions… for hours.
This challenge has been around here in the Philippines for quite some time now. For this year, it will comprise of 3 legs. The 1st leg will be held on August 8 at the Ayala Center in Cebu City, followed by the 2nd leg on August 15 at the SM Lanang Premier in Davao City. The 3rd and final leg will be held on September 5 at the Big Bear Oval in Bonifacio High Street, Taguig City.
One winner each from Legs 1 and 2, and 8 winners from Leg 3 will receive an all-expense paid trip to Singapore! But, there’s a catch.
They’ll be sent there as the country’s representatives for the 2015 Subaru Challenge wherein they’ll have to redo the Palm Challenge against teams from countries such as Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, and the host country Singapore.
At stake are cash prizes for the Country Winner (the last person standing from each country), the Asian Winner (the last person standing from all regional countries except Singapore), and the Country Team Winner (the longest surviving country, calculated by adding all the individual team members’ times together).
But best of all, the very last person to endure the Challenge will also be driving home a brand new Subaru Forester 2.0i-L (worth P1,398,000).
To join the 2015 Subaru Palm Challenge Philippine Face-Off, register at any Subaru showroom in Greenhills, BGC, Manila Bay, Alabang, Cebu, and Davao. You can also visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ILoveSubaru or log on to www.motorimage.net/PH for online registrations.
