Suzuki Philippines continues its Dealer Expansion Program (DEP) in the country. The Japanese automotive manufacturer is inviting more investors across the country into its dealership business. DEP aims to expand the Suzuki brand in the Philippines to better reach more customers as well as serve existing owners better. The Japanese automaker has recently been on a roll as it recently added new models to its lineup. Suzuki just launched the new Carry and a new variant of the Dzire. With the new addition, the Japanese automaker aims to give the public better light commercial vehicle options as well as a new entry-level sedan to choose from.
With the milestones, Suzuki Philippines has reaped, including the ones we’ve achieved so far this year, we believe we are more equipped to grow the business further and spread to more areas in the country. We consider that now is the best time to work with more potential investors, and so we are looking for more business partners who share our vision, believe in our products and see the great possibilities in growing with the brand. We are eager to bring more of the award-winning Suzuki vehicles to more parts of the country so we hope to gain more partners to team up with and together achieve success
The Japanese automaker already has 21 dealerships nationwide with 12 of them being in Luzon, three in Visayas, and six in Mindanao.
Earlier during the first half of this year, Suzuki was able to experience a 14 percent sales growth over the same period last year. This report was according to the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI). The report further states that Suzuki was able to climb up to the fifth rank in the CAMPI rankings. The company also ranks sixth in the local industry ranking.
The Japanese automaker’s growth was partly in thanks to the sales of the Ertiga, Swift, Celerio, Dzire, and Vitara. These vehicles contributed to 77 percent of the total H1 sales of 2019.
