Suzuki Philippines, Inc, (SPH) has taken steps to helping out communities and Filipinos in need by closely working with the ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation, Inc. (ALKFI). SPH has donated 16 vehicles for use in two of ALKFI’s programs, Bantay Bata 163 and Bantay Kalikasan. The Bantay Bata 163 program oversees and protects children’s rights and well-being while Bantay Kalikasan promotes sustainability and environment management.
These donated vehicles consist of two Suzuki Super Carry utility vans and 14 A-X4 commercial motorcycles. The utility vans and two of the fourteen motorcycles will support the operations of Bantay Bata Children’s Village and Bantay Kalikasan headquarters at the La Mesa Eco Park. The remaining 12 motorcycles will be used in Bantay Kalikasan regional sites around the country, such as Laguna, Romblon, Palawan, Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, Davao, and Saranggani.
We’re very proud and honored to be part of another ABS-CBN Lingkod Kapamilya Foundation project that seeks to give back and contribute to the development of our nation and its citizens. As we face more complicated challenges today, we need more than ever to take collective action to ensure a bright future for our youth and to drive the nation forward. As such, we encourage everyone to join us and support this meaningful campaign.
The close work between SPH and ALKFI started in 2013 through Sagip Kapamilya and Operation Sagip programs. One of ALKFI’s flagship programs, Sagip Kapamilya is geared towards providing relief and assistance to calamity-stricken areas via rehabilitation and sustainable projects.
Earlier this year, the two organizations also teamed up for the One Suzuki for Marawi Campaign, which was held at the Raider R150 Summit at the World Trade Center in Manila and Tagum City, Davao, where, together with the community of riders, dealers, partners, and employees, were able to collect P3.6 million in cash donations for the recovery and rehabilitation of Marawi City.
Truly, it has been an honor and a privilege to work with our ABS-CBN Foundation family in this effort of taking a humble part in the holistic development of our community. As mentioned by President Suzuki, it is a high-time for all of us to actively participate in overcoming the issues that challenge our society today and this is our way of lending hands to other cause.
