Suzuki Philippines has launched a new website feature that will help minimize the social interactions between customer and dealership staff to promote social distancing. The new feature in question is an online Auto Loan function that lets customers apply for a loan for any of the brand’s vehicle offerings. With the addition of the auto loan feature the Japanese brand states that getting a new car has not only been made easier but is now only a few clicks away.
The Auto Loan function allows customers to be able to apply for auto loans online. This was done together with Suzuki’s bank partners Bank of Commerce, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Chinabank Savings, East West Bank, Maybank, PS Bank, RCBC, Robinsons Bank, UCPB, and Yulon Finance. The feature directs customers to their preferred bank’s website that is dedicated to auto loans. From there once the forms have been accomplished, their bank of choice will review their application and will decide to grant them a loan if they are considered to be eligible.
The simple online service feature was designed by Suzuki Philippines in order to help provide ways to serve its customers by being reachable amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) period that was brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. By lessening the physical interactions between dealership staff and customers the new feature will be able to promote social distancing and lower the risk of infection.
Suzuki states that the move to launch the online Auto Loan application “is rooted in the realization that during this time of uncertainty, consumers are longing for a sense of security and reliability, more than just the product itself.” With the onset of the pandemic and with new guidelines in place more and more automotive brands in the Philippines will have to think on their feet as to how to make the buying process easier for their customers. The addition of this feature is just one way the Japanese brand will be adapting to the “new normal.”
