The Suzuki S-Presso made waves in the Philippines when it first launched in 2020. The small, quirky hatchback garnered praise for its frugal engine and affordable price point. If you've been looking for another reason to snag this vehicle, this could be the one. Suzuki has officially uncovered the S-Presso Special Edition, and we're here to tell you all about it.
Suzuki has given the S-Presso a retro look that perfectly complements the vehicle's already boxy form factor. Upfront, the four-slat grille gets a chrome makeover to match Suzuki's emblem. Down below, silver-accented black cladding surrounds a new faux skid plate.
The vehicle's sides receive the same treatment, with raised cladding and silver accents sitting below the character lines on both ends. The rear gets a sportier look thanks to the identical faux silver skid plate and black cladding. There's also a more prominent upper rear spoiler that highlights the Special Edition's more aggressive stance.
Rounding out the exterior changes are sleek four-spoke alloy wheels that look like they belong on the Jimny. Inside the vehicle, Suzuki gave the S-Presso silver trims on the center console and air-conditioning vents.
Other than these changes, the S-Presso Special Edition is the same hatchback many have come to love. It still packs the Celerio-derived, 1.0-liter, three-cylinder K10B engine that delivers 67 hp and 90 Nm of torque. There's still no automatic gearbox, as a 5-speed manual remains the sole transmission option.
Standard features include a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth, AM/FM, and AUX connectivity. There are also manual A/C climate controls and a rear ultrasonic park-assist system.
The Suzuki S-Presso Special Edition is available now at dealerships nationwide. The Starry Blue Pearl paint scheme is exclusive to the model. At P568,000, it's still one of the most affordable vehicles money can buy today.
