Nissan just reached a milestone with the Juke. According to the Japanese brand, its Sunderland plant in the UK has built its one-millionth unit of the subcompact crossover.
The Juke is the second crossover to be built in the said plant after the Qashqai. Amazingly, this Nissan is such a hit in Europe that the company was able to sell 95,000 units in 2017. On average, Nissan is able to build a brand new Juke every 105 seconds.
Eight years ago we had never seen anything like the Juke before – it created an entirely new segment and brought a distinctive never-seen-before look to the market. Fast forward to today and we have one million customers and Juke remains the segment leader.
The one-millionth Juke rolled off the line with the latest color option available called ‘Vivid Blue.’ Sadly, this isn’t available in the Philippines just yet. What’s even more interesting is that, apparently, Juke models in Europe already have the Nissan’s Around View Monitor (AVM).
Speaking of options, Nissan claims that there are 23,000 plus different versions of the Juke available for its customers. We have no idea on how they got that number but all we know is that there are only two variants of it in the country. Maybe Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) needs to bring in more choices for us Filipinos soon like the Juke N-Style painted is NISMO colors they introduced back in January 2018.
