There is another chapter unfolding in the Philippine transportation scene as the Toyota Philippines, along with Toyota Financial Services Philippine (TFSPH) and ride-hailing company Grab officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). This partnership focuses mainly on the regular maintenance and vehicle replacement for the existing drivers of Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS).
Through this agreement, Toyota-Grab aims to promote the modern livelihood of Filipinos. In accordance to this, both companies came up with a strategic plan to offer exclusive deals for Grab drivers with TNVS franchise.
As such, TFSPH will provide a special loan package to existing Grab drivers including the low down payment and affordable monthly installments, inclusion of Maintenance Package option in loan term, and P5,000 worth of Gas Card.
The Toyota Motor Company, on the other hand, will let Grab drivers choose from two maintenance package options:
Option 1: Complete Maintenance Package
- 30% discount on Periodic Maintenance Parts and Labor for up to 80,000 kms – actual price depends on vehicle model (including 17 visits)
- 15% discount on battery, aircon cleaning, engine detailing, and accessories
Option 2: Complete Maintenance Package Light - Warranty Void
- 30% discount on motor oil, oil filter, drain plug, gasket and labor for up to 80,000 km – actual price depends on vehicle model (including 17 visits)
- 15% discount on battery, aircon cleaning, engine detailing, and accessories
- P15,000 Trade-in Incentive
- Fuel Rebate Card, Free Dash Cam, Free Air Care (1 time if maintenance package is renewed)
Lastly, Grab Philippines will grant partners applying for vehicle replacement with commission rebate for the first two weeks of operation.
All in all, 17 Metro Manila dealerships are taking part in the promos, as well other provincial networks involved as of signing including Toyota San Fernando, Pampanga, and all Toyota dealers in Cebu, where Grab is present.
As one of the most prominent subcompact sedan in the country, it’s safe to assume that the Toyota Vios will further strengthen its position as a reliable ride-sharing workhorse, thanks to this new collaboration.
