Tuason Racing in partnership with Phoenix Pulse’s Young Driver’s Program: Esports is hosting the second leg of Race for Frontliners online racing series on April 29, 2020. Similar to that of the first leg part of the donations and proceeds will be given to COVID-19 efforts. The sim racing series is part of the racing school’s efforts to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic with the help of the eSports community.
With the enhanced community quarantine being extended to May 15, 2020, going for an online racing event will not only give racing enthusiasts something to do but it can also reach out to more people while still staying indoors. Tuason Racing will be donating one Family Mart food pack for every registration of a virtual racer. The donation will be coursed through the partner non-profit organization Students Transformation and Enrichment for Truth-Values Integration and Promotion (STET-VIP).
The event will not only help keep people entertained during the quarantine but it will also serve as a platform for aspiring young e-racing talents to explore and join in on Phoenix Pulse’s Young Driver’s Program: Esports.
Exciting prizes are also up for grabs to those who will join the virtual race. Winners will be able to get their hands on an LG High-Definition Television, Phoenix Pulse Fuel Gift Certificates, a TopLift Toolset, and Tuason Racing Merchandise. The event will be streamed live at 8 P.M on April 29, 2020, on Tuason Racing’s Facebook page.
Interested racers can sign up by visiting the Tuason racing website or Facebook page. It's important to note that in order to join you will need a Playstation 4 with an active Playstation Network account and the game Gran Turismo Sport. For the second leg of racing the vehicle has been changed to the 2015 Honda Civic Type-R FK2. The track is also no longer the same and has been changed to Bran’s Hatch. The same rules as the previous leg also apply. This means that participants will be running qualifying times before the actual race event in order to determine their starting grid position.
