VinFast extends free EV charging for customers until March 31, 2029

A week ago, Vingroup rolled out the ‘Trade Gas for Electric’ program in its push to encourage more drivers to switch to electric. Now, the company’s automotive arm, VinFast, has announced it is extending its free charging policy for owners in three Asian markets: India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, through to March 31, 2029.

Under the updated policy, all VinFast EV owners will continue to receive free charging across the V-Green network for the duration of the coverage period. The benefit applies to both current owners and new buyers, and it is not limited to private use. Even those running their vehicles for transport services, including drivers on the Green SM ride-hailing platform, are covered.

Extending this policy for another three years is the next step in our strategy to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. VinFast believes that when operating costs are optimized to nearly zero, consumers will have greater confidence and motivation to switch to green mobility, while also contributing to the greening of transportation systems in these countries.”

At the same time, VinFast says its V-Green charging network continues to grow across its operating markets. Expanding infrastructure remains a critical piece of the equation, helping address range anxiety and making EV ownership more practical for a wider audience.

Aside from free charging, the automaker is rolling out a suite of incentives aimed at lowering the barrier to entry. These include a battery subscription option to reduce upfront costs, a guaranteed resale value program, flexible financing schemes, and an extensive warranty package designed to stay competitive in the segment.
