Forget Fast and Furious, this one’s made for EDSA traffic and weekend getaways. VinFast has introduced the VF 5 to Filipino buyers as a compact EV crossover that is simple to own and easy to drive in the city. It is designed for first-time car owners, young families, and professionals who want a more affordable entry into electric mobility.
At just under four meters long, the VF 5 is sized for urban living. Its compact shape makes it easy to maneuver through traffic, fit into mall parking spaces, and take on narrow roads, while its SUV stance gives drivers a comfortable view of the road. Inside, the VF 5 offers enough space for five passengers with good legroom and flexible cargo storage that can handle groceries, luggage, or gear for weekend trips.
The VF 5 runs on a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor that delivers 135 Nm of torque, providing smooth and steady performance for city and nearby provincial drives. On a full charge, the car can travel up to 326 kilometers (NEDC), which is enough for several days of regular commuting or a weekend trip without needing to recharge. For those on the go, the VF 5 supports fast charging that can boost the battery from 10 to 70 percent in about 30 minutes.
Cost efficiency is one of the strongest points of the VF 5. Since it is fully electric, owners save on fuel costs and spend less on maintenance compared to gasoline-powered vehicles. It also qualifies for zero excise tax under the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA). VinFast adds even more value by giving free charging at V-GREEN stations nationwide until 2027, helping reduce ownership costs.
The vehicle comes equipped with an eight-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, keyless entry, push-start ignition, and cruise control. Safety is supported by six airbags, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, blind-spot monitoring, and a reinforced body frame, making it a reliable option for daily family or work use.
The VF 5’s design was created by Torino Design in Italy, giving it a stylish look with sharp lines and a bold front. Its youthful and modern appearance makes it appealing to drivers who want a car that feels at home in city centers as well as on weekend road trips.
According to VinFast, the VF 5 fits best for new car owners, everyday commuters, young families, or those ready to switch to electric without stretching their budget. Offering good driving range, smart features, and lower running costs, it makes EV driving easier to reach. Learn more at AutoDeal.com.ph and check out the full VinFast lineup.
