Volkswagen Philippines has announced that a new vehicle will soon be joining its local lineup in the form of the Volkswagen Multivan Kombi. The new German MPV brings with it distinctly European styling along with a host of new safety and convenience features that many will surely appreciate and enjoy.
On the inside, the Multivan Kombi sports a luxurious Nappa leather interior which is complimented by captain seconds in the front and second rows. The second-row seats even come with a swivel function that allows for that instant face-to-face meeting. Moving on to the third row, it can easily seat three occupants and even comes with a recline and slide function. A multifunction table can also be had with the vehicle that can be positioned between the second and third rows. This allows the Multivan Kombi to act as a mobile office for those who like to work and meet on the go. The Volkswagen Multivan Kombi also brings with it convenience features such as dual power side doors and a power tailgate.
Under the hood, the Volkswagen Multivan Kombi is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine that is mated to a 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) with a Tiptronic and coasting feature. The motor is able to produce 148 hp and 340 Nm of torque. This gives the European MPV a great balance of power and efficiency so that you can get the most out of the diesel you give it.
The initial batch of Volkswagen Multivan Kombi MPVs will come available in three colors: Reflex Silver, Black Pearlescent, and Bi-Color Reflex Silver / Starlight Blue and will start with a standard retail price (SRP) of P3,650,000. Other colors will also be available for the vehicle, however, these will be by special order only. Volkswagen Philippines has yet to announce an official launch date for the vehicle, however, we expect it to happen soon as the first batch of Multivan Kombi units already arrived.
