Volkswagen Philippines recently opened a new dealership in Cagayan De Oro. The new dealership is a partnership between VW and Greencars Mindanao Corporation. The new dealership is located in Pueblo Business Park located at the corner of Mastersons Avenue and Paseo de Oro in Upper Carmen.
The CDO dealership marks the company’s 9th dealership to open in the Philippines since 2013. The location chosen for the new dealership is strategic, and it targets CDO the country’s 10th most populous city and the economic hub of Region 10. The area also has a pretty large economy and is sustainable for future car buyers. Thanks to its location, the dealership will also be able to service and cater to the needs of buyers from the northern Mindanao area, such as Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, and Lanao del Norte.
Establishing our 9th Volkswagen dealer in the country, at the center of the logistics and business hub of northern Mindanao, was a very easy decision to make. In collaboration with GMC, we are now exactly where we want to be in the region. The residents and enterprises of northern Mindanao will now have more access to the German technology, build quality, and driving experience of Volkswagen automobiles and the accompanying Volkswagen aftersales services and support.
Greencars Mindanao Corporation’s (GMC) chairman of the board Antonio De La Fuente said that the opening of the new dealership marks the return of VW to the area. The German automaker already had a claim in the area 40 years ago but since had to pull out. The new dealership marks the company’s return to CDO.
GMC has been engaged in the sale of new and used vehicles, while Volkswagen, on the other hand, is part of AC industrials (ACI) of Ayala Corporation. ACI owns distribution rights to brands such as Honda, Isuzu, Maxus, and Kia. The combination of both companies for the new dealership Volkswagen dealership makes a potent combination for Mindanao buyers since both companies are experienced in their respective fields.
