It’s always fun to look back at which stories stood out in the car world. Ford Philippines has announced the finalists for the 24th Henry Ford Awards (HFA), one of the longest-running awards programs for motoring journalists in the country. The event gives credit to writers, photographers, and video creators who share useful and entertaining car-related content in the Philippines.
More than 200 entries were submitted this year. After going through two rounds of judging, a panel of professionals from different fields picked the top entries in each category. The finalists include articles, photos, and videos about car launches, reviews, technology, lifestyle, and electric vehicles.
For Automotive Launch Story of the Year, some of the featured entries include articles from Top Gear Philippines, The Modern Creatures, VISOR, and the Philippine Daily Inquirer. For Automotive Industry Feature of the Year, stories range from tips on car buying to special features about long-distance road trips and luxury car taxes.
Under Automotive Tech Story of the Year, entries include new driving technologies, dashcams, and smart safety features. Meanwhile, in the Vehicle Review (Article) category, writers reviewed cars like the Ferrari Roma Spider, Nissan GT-R, Changan X7 Plus, and Range Rover Sport.
Lifestyle pieces also made it to the list under Automotive Lifestyle Story of the Year, including features about bikes, electric tricycles, and personal experiences. Electric cars have their own category too, with stories discussing EV ownership and common questions from new users.
Other categories include Automotive Column of the Year, Automotive Photograph of the Year, Short-Form Video of the Year, and Video Vehicle Review of the Year, adding everything from race cars to everyday vehicles and electric SUVs.
There are also Ford-specific categories, which focus on articles and videos featuring Ford cars like the Bronco, Mustang, Territory, Ranger, and Everest. The entries came from AutoDeal, VISOR, GadgetMatch, JaywalkurMotoring, and more.
Winners of each category, including Automotive Journalist of the Year and Automotive Outlet of the Year, will be announced during the awards night on May 5, 2025. While you're here, take a quick look at Ford cars on AutoDeal.com.ph.
