SUVs are popular in the Philippines for their size and practicality, and the new MG Majestor looks like it could be a good choice for local roads. MG has revealed the Majestor, its latest SUV offering, during the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Placed above the MG Gloster, the Majestor brings rugged looks, advanced features, and a spacious cabin, making it a strong contender in the SUV market.
The MG Majestor is a redesigned version of the Maxus D90, sold in markets like Chile, South Africa, and Australia under various names. It builds on the MG Gloster but brings a bolder design. The exterior features a large grille, split LED headlights, a full-width LED taillight bar, and dual tailpipes integrated into the rear skid plate, giving it a rugged and modern look.
Inside, the Majestor is expected to offer a range of premium features. Reports suggest it will have a digital cockpit with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated and massaging driver’s seats, a tri-zone climate control system, a 12-speaker audio system, and advanced safety features like Level 2 driver assistance systems (ADAS).

While MG hasn’t confirmed the final details, the Majestor is likely to use the same twin-turbo 2.0-liter diesel engine as the Gloster. This engine delivers 215 hp and 480 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Buyers can choose between rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive versions, ensuring versatility for different driving needs.
The MG Majestor is expected to launch in India in 2025, with an estimated price between around P2.8M to P3.1M, which places it above the Gloster and makes it as a competitor to popular models like the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Everest, and even unibody SUVs like the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. With the popularity of SUVs in the Philippines, the MG Majestor has a lot of potential if it ever launches here.
