Hitting the corners just got a whole lot more thrilling with the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N’s drift mode. Hyundai has updated the IONIQ 5 N for 2025, introducing new features to improve performance, especially for those interested in drifting.
The new model, launched in South Korea, now includes configurable N Drift Optimizer settings, allowing drivers to choose from 10 levels of assistance. The adjustment gives more control over how much drift assistance is provided, with the highest level minimizing stability control, allowing for a freer drifting experience. Hyundai specifies that these updates are primarily for track use, as the system has improved at detecting conditions suitable for drifting.
Other updates for 2025 include Downshift Memory, which stores downshift commands and executes them when the engine reaches the proper rpm. This helps improve track performance by making gear changes smoother. The system is developed to make the IONIQ 5 N's driving experience even more engaging. Additionally, N Active Sound+ now triggers artificial engine sounds automatically when using launch control, simulating the noise of a turbocharged engine.
In terms of practical features, the 2025 IONIQ 5 N comes with automatic high beams, a walk-away lock system, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L), which lets users power external devices using the car's battery. Hyundai has also added safety features like second-row safety windows and a haptic warning system on the steering wheel that alerts drivers when hazards are detected.
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N maintains its dual electric motor setup, delivering up to 641 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque when using N Grin Boost mode. The vehicle retains its 84 kWh battery, which was added to the IONIQ 5 lineup in its recent facelift. In South Korea, the updated IONIQ 5 N is priced at ₩77,000,000, which is around P3.2M, after eco-friendly tax incentives.
As electric cars get more popular in the Philippines, it’s hard not to think about when this upgraded model might drift our way. While we wait, the current IONIQ 5 N is already available here. Visit AutoDeal.com.ph to explore it along with other Hyundai cars, all from the comfort of your home.
