Ford Philippines now offers the Ranger 2.2 XLS and XLT with new pricing and big discounts. The discounted pricing of the Ranger is currently ongoing but will end on December 31, 2019. The Ranger XLS 4x2 MT is now available at a retail price of P943,000. This puts the starting price of the manual variant of the pickup below the P1 million mark, making the pickup more competitively priced and more accessible for those who want a Blue Oval truck.
The Ranger 2.2L XLT, on the other hand, can now be had with a cash discount of P125,000, bringing its price down to P1,051,000. That’s more than double the P55,000 cash discount offered by the Blue Oval on the variant in the month of October.
Customers have the option of getting these variants through a financing scheme with a zero percent interest rate for 24 months.
We’ve made solid headways in our pickup truck business this year and we aim to sustain the momentum by bringing the Ford Ranger accessible to more customers by making the Ranger XLS more affordably-priced at below PHP1 million and the Ranger XLT available with a bigger cash discount or at 0% interest
Both the Ranger XLS and XLT are equipped with Ford’s 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engines. The diesel fed mill produces 158 hp and 385 Nm of torque. Like the higher variants, the XLS and XLT variants retain the pickup’s wading depth of 800mm. For those who want to maximize their vehicle for hauling cargo, will be happy to know it can haul up to 1,121kg worth of goods. While both variants don’t have all the bells and whistles when it comes to driver aids, they do retain cruise control, anti-lock braking system with electronic force distribution, and an adjustable speed limiter.
