Chevrolet Philippines’ smallest vehicle, the 2019 Spark, has a lot of things up its sleeve aside from having the biggest engine in its class. It’s packed with technology and safety features, which is a good thing since this small hatchback isn’t a cheap car at all.
Here’s a closer look at what the Chevrolet Spark Premier variant can offer in terms of the toys that come with it.
Technology: The front-runner
What’s included: speed-sensing door locks, auto up/down driver’s window, and heated/power-folding side mirrors, 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and six speakers, audio controls on the steering wheel, and USB-C port.
Small hatchbacks aren’t expected to get many high-tech features because of their price point The Chevy Spark begs to differ, however, as it comes heavy on tech features that hit the right spots. The six speakers are average-sounding, though, but that’s a bit of a moot point if you’re just going to listen to chart-toppers.

What you won’t like: The USB port doesn’t charge the phone that quickly.
Considering its class, the 2019 Spark pretty much covers everything when it comes to tech features, but if there’s any gripe or nitpick, that would be with its charging port. The sole port at the center console doesn’t charge a smartphone quickly, so it would be better to charge your phone via the accessory socket if you need that extra battery juice after driving.
Safety: Above average
What’s included: dual front airbags, five three-point seatbelts, seatbelt reminder for both driver and front passenger, ISOFIX child anchors, ABS, traction control system (TCS), electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist (HSA), and immobilizer.
Well, it’s laid out here. The Spark, regardless of its size, is packed with safety features. Even better, the lower variants are almost as loaded san the TCS, ESC, and HSA. That could pretty much make up for its steep price tag.
