Honda Thailand announced the launch of the new subcompact City with a sportier and more luxurious appeal, complete with refreshed front and rear bumpers, redesigned interior, and LED front lights.
The refreshed Honda City now features a sleeker and more fashionable exterior. Details such as the LED headlights and LED daytime running lights are unusual for a subcompact car. Furthermore, it also features LED fog lights, new chrome grille, restyle front and rear bumpers, and alloy wheels.
Inside, the new City delivers a spacious cabin in a classy and more refreshed look. This is further observed with its gun-metallic color that accentuates the dashboard and new sporty seats. Meanwhile, ambience will never be dull with the LED interior lamps integrated in the vehicle.
With its 1.5L SOHC i-VTEC engine, the new City runs in an output of 117 hp at 6,000 rpm with a torque of 146 Nm at 4,700 rpm. This is remarkably under the current 120 hp performance of the engine found on the Limited Edition City. Contrarily, the torque went up from the 139 Nm of the outgoing model.
It also features a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with its 7-speed paddle shift, which offers fuel efficiency of 17.9 km/L for automatic, and 18.2 km/L for the manual transmission.
The new Honda City comes in variety of color options including Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Taffeta White Orchid Pearl, and a new Cosmic Blue Metallic.
However, the new City is only available in Thailand for now, and deliveries in local dealerships haven’t been confirmed by Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. as of writing.
