2017 Mini Countryman

Aside from being the biggest MINI yet, the 2017 Countryman has earned a Top Safety Pick rating by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The IIHS is a U.S. non-profit organization that focuses on reducing motor vehicle crashes and accident rates.

The Countryman managed to clinch the Top Safety Pick award through its “good crashworthiness” ratings. The biggest MINI aced the series of tests, which include small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraint.

The vehicle is also equipped with an optional advanced-rated front crash prevention system, which helps minimize the severity of a collision by reducing the impact speed.

"The new MINI Countryman is not only the best equipped MINI we’ve ever sold, but it’s also the most technologically advanced and most versatile model we’ve ever offered."

Locally, the Countryman is offered in 2 variants (D and SD) and both are powered by a 2.0L twinpower turbo diesel engine.
