This is probably some type of 'envy' in form of writing – Toyota is bringing the 2017 C-HR just 2,000 km southwest of the Philippines. The sleek subcompact crossover is set to be displayed and available for public viewing this August at selected showrooms in Malaysia.
The C-HR first dazzled the eyes of the motoring media at last year's Geneva Motor Show. Considering its size, it sits alongside the likes of Honda HR-V and Mazda CX-3.
Power-wise, the all-new C-HR was announced to offer 3 different powertrain options. The Malaysian-spec model in particular is getting the 1.8 Dual VVT i-engine that is paired with a continuous variable transmission (CVT) with sequential shifter.
With aggressive exterior, the C-HR is also equipped with a number of technology. Among the features it boasts are the Follow-Me-Home headlights, side mirror puddle light, and the Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Meanwhile, the Japanese brand’s subcompact crossover got its TRD makeover earlier this year, which was displayed at the 2017 Tokyo Auto Salon. What is sleek in our eyes was made even sportier with the help of distinct upgrades relative to its 2 trims, the AggressiveStyle for urban driving and the ExtremeStyle for off-roading.
There is no clear information yet from Toyota Motor Philippines as to when the 2017 C-HR will be available in the local market. However, the fact that it has now arrived in Malaysia causes a bit of excitement that the subcompact crossover is indeed coming – and the excitement builds up as it gets closer and closer.
