2018 Toyota C-HR

As we enviously admire it on photos after being announced to be landing in Malaysia, the Toyota C-HR is getting a 2-tone exterior finish in Japan. Well, it's only a matter of time before it gets here, right? We hope so, too.

Anyway, while we patiently wait for it to set its wheels in the country, our friends in Japan are getting the fancy out of the C-HR nameplate. Available in 8 color combinations, individuals may own the new crossover in distinct and exclusive aesthetics. Of note, the crossover's 8 existing colors gets a different-colored roof; 4 colors get a white roof, and the other 4 get a black top.

Coupled with the white top are the Black Mica, Dark Brown Mica Metallic, Radiant Green Metallic, and the Blue Metallic finishes. Meanwhile, the White Pearl Crystal Shine, Metal Stream Metallic, Sensual Red Mica, and Yellow colors got the black roof.

Aside from Japan, Canada and U.S. look like they have it as well. The Canadian market has the new color options of Silver Knockout Metallic and Blue Eclipse Metallic apart from the 2-tone combinations. The Canadian-spec C-HR has the 2.0-liter VVT-i (Dual Variable Valve Timing with Intelligence) engine.

We are still on a hang regarding the availability of the C-HR in the local market. What seem to be a tedious wait—hopefully not—just reminds us about the saying, "good things comes to those who wait." Besides, it’s arrival in Malaysia may be a sign that we could lay our eyes on it soon.
