Aston Martin DB11 Volante

James Bond is off duty until sometime around 2019. You can consider that he’s on a holiday – chilling somewhere with a cigar in his mouth while holding a glass of martini. As such, Aston Martin found it fitting to produce a perfect holiday vehicle for Mr. Bond – the DB11 Volante.

The DB11 Volante is an open-top vehicle that’s equipped with a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 engine. This power unit delivers 503 hp and 675 Nm of torque along with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Aston Martin claims it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 300 km/h.

Essentially, this vehicle is the open-top version of the DB11, a vehicle that made its Philippine debut last February 2017. It has the same wide grille design complemented by LED headlights and sharp character lines. The rear comes with slim ‘light blade’ C-shaped LED taillights, which add to the DB11 Volante’s aggressive yet sleek design.

"For many of our customers, indeed many generations of Aston Martin customer, the Volante has always offered something very special: a unique combination of elegant style, innate sporting ability and sensory engagement that lifts it above other open-top cars. The new DB11 Volante captures those qualities perfectly.”

The DB11 Volante’s convertible roof takes 14 seconds to open and 16 to close. This can be operated remotely from the key, or while running driving at speeds of up to 50 km/h. Aston Martin added that the vehicle comes with an 8-layer roof that can withstand the “extremes of weather and wind noise."

With this, we could vouch that James Bond will find the DB11 Volante as a perfect companion during his down time.
