Audi Philippines has launched the all-new A4, the brand’s latest contender in the premium executive sedan segment. The 2016 A4 is bigger as compared to its predecessor and it comes with a restyled exterior as well as an updated interior.
Overall, the A4 looks bold and composed through its sharp character lines. Up front, it has a revamped bumper, a wider grille, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights. The rear, on the other hand, gets sharper-looking LED taillights and a new bumper design. It is finished off with a set of 19-inch wheels.
As compared to its predecessor, the 2016 A4 is longer by 25mm and wider by 16mm while its wheelbase increased by 12mm. This means that the vehicle offers more interior room, which translates to better legroom.
Inside, the A4 features a black interior theme along with splashes of silver trims. The dashboard comes with a straightforward design that incorporates the essential buttons/functions. It also has a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, a digital instrument cluster, and a 7-inch ‘touchpad’ that’s compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the A4 has Audi’s MMI Navigation Plus system which allows the driver to control features such as: navigation, in-car media functions, among others.
In terms of safety, Audi’s executive sedan is equipped with dual front airbags, park assist, anti-theft alarm, and flat tire indicator.
Under the hood, the A4 is powered by a new 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine that delivers 150 hp and 320 Nm of torque. It is then mated to a 7-speed ‘S tronic’ dual-clutch transmission. Audi claims that the vehicle can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 220 km/h.
