PH auto sales up by 8.6% in October 2016, says CAMPI

The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) sites 8.6% increase of sales as of October 2016. Reports shows that both the Passenger Car (PC) and Commercial Vehicle (CV) contributed to increase the said month's sales with both boosting up by 2.3% and 12.6%, respectvely. Although both segments increased in terms of year-on-year basis, there was a significant drop of sales compared from last month.

Los Angeles 2016: Mazda CX-5 breaks cover 

Mazda revealed the 2017 CX-5 at Los Angeles Auto Show. It sports a sharper, more aggressive exterior and an updated interior layout. Moreover, it is reported that the all-new CX-5 has the latest version of the CX-9 as its basis. It also gets a wider grille, which has more prominent chrome trim, as well as a longer hood and new sweptback headlights. Meanwhile, the rear showcases a narrower taillights, revamped liftgate, and a redesigned bumper. 

Alibaba Group sells 100,000 cars online in 1 day 

The Alibaba Group, in China, is reported to have sold 100,000 cars within just 24 hours. This happened during what is regarded to as one of the largest online shopping days in the world, China's Singles' Day. Of note, this day sparked great deals and promos throughout various shopping websites. The vehicles were sold at online shopping websites Toabao and Tmall, which are owned by Alibaba.
